Choose the platform. Prepare for the push.

Definitions get you into the conversation. Follow-ups, trade-offs, and recovery lines decide whether you sound mid-level, senior, or staff. The method is shared. The technical answers are not.

Real pages. Real interview behavior.

Two platforms, one interview apparatus. These are real pages from both editions.

Answer cards

Not just what to say. What to say next.

Every high-priority card gives you the clean answer, the trap, the interviewer push, and the recovery line when your first answer was incomplete.

Short 30-second version for screens.
Senior-depth answer for the follow-up.
Natural wording you can say out loud.
Weak answer and what earns the point.

Android-native depth

The framework is shared. The platform judgment is not.

The Android edition is written around Kotlin, coroutines, Flow, Compose, process death, background limits, offline data, performance, security, and platform leadership. It is not iOS material with renamed APIs.

Why strong candidates lose

You can build it. Saying it is the hard part.

Senior loops are rarely lost on the first definition. They are lost when the interviewer adds pressure.

What you get

A senior interview system, not a question bank.

01 · Core differentiation

Follow-ups and recovery lines

In both editions, the highest-priority questions include the weak answer, likely interviewer push, recovery line, and what earns the point.

02 · Fast path

2-hour crash plan

Know what to read when your loop is tomorrow, tonight, or in thirty minutes.

03 · Platform signal

Native questions, not translated ones

Swift and SwiftUI in the iOS edition. Kotlin, Compose, runtime behavior, and Android constraints in the Android edition.

04 · Current

Built for the 2026 interview loop

Current language, concurrency, UI, architecture, performance, security, system design, and leadership coverage for each platform.

05 · Practice

9 live simulations combined

Technical screens, UI and performance pressure, system design, behavioral rounds, incidents, and senior-loop recovery.

06 · Readiness

Scorecard and final review

Use the scorecard to focus the next hour. Use the final 30-minute review the morning of the interview.

Real interviews. Real results.

iOS edition

“I came to this book after reading iOS Blueprint and following Mike's advice. Honestly, this book helped me a lot. I had an interview this Monday and only had the weekend to refresh my knowledge. The technical round went well, and I was able to answer almost all of the questions confidently. The only area where I got stuck was explaining Sendable, which showed me where I still need more practice. The next book I'll probably buy is Share Your Screen, especially for the live coding preparation. Mike's approach is very clear, detailed, and easy to follow. The explanations focus on helping you truly understand the concepts rather than just memorizing answers. Thanks a lot for creating these resources, they were genuinely helpful during my interview preparation 👌”

“Wow. Just wow. Mike recommended this book during my CV audit, and I grabbed it as part of the deal. Best decision. I've been doing Android for 6 years, and this book made me feel like I was discovering Android again. So many interesting questions and topics that made me stop and think. Highly recommended.”

“As mobile developer, I can honestly say this is the best Android book I've ever had!!! The content is excellent, the design is beautiful, and it's been incredibly useful. Huge thanks to Mike for putting together such an awesome resource!!”

About the author

Built by Mike Salari, Staff Mobile Engineer.

Over more than fifteen years, I have built mobile software, worked across iOS and Android systems, and conducted more than 500 technical interviews from the hiring side. I wrote these books for engineers who can build, but need to make their judgment visible under pressure.

Questions

Before you choose

My interview is in two days. Is that enough time?

Yes. The book is specifically structured for limited time. Start with the 2-hour crash path, the 10 answers you must not get wrong, and the simulation closest to your hardest round.

Is this for beginners?

No. Both editions assume you already build production apps on the platform you choose. They are interview answer books, not beginner Swift or Kotlin courses.

Do I need both editions?

No. Choose iOS for a Swift and Apple-platform loop. Choose Android for a Kotlin and Android-platform loop. The interview method is shared, but the technical material is written separately.

What format do I get?

PDF and EPUB, with answer cards, code where it clarifies the mechanism, simulations, scorecards, and focused review paths.

Is the content current?

Yes. Both are August 2026 editions. Version-sensitive platform material is dated where it matters.

Is it tied to one company?

No. Both editions cover the recurring senior interview surface, with guidance for startups, fintech, large product companies, and staff or lead loops.

Does it guarantee an offer?

No. It is interview preparation, not a guarantee of employment. Its job is to sharpen answers, reduce overclaiming, and make follow-ups feel familiar.
